Here is an email I wrote to @theyoungestkim about Mini Mix #57 4 days after I made the mix:

Mm 57 I'm in love with it.

I never listened to a little wayne album or mixtape cause I felt he was all hype. But shalane loves and raves bout him. I always figured there was a reason why people love him so much, I just never got a chance to study.

So brian made the cover for 57 before I even decided what to put on the mix. Manny pacquiao is the man right now, so he ran with it.

I didn't want to go the normal route and put "mama said knock you out" and shit like that. Then I went to youtube and one of the featured videos was the first 10 minutes to a documentary for wayne.

The opening scene shows him in a hotel and he turns on the tv. He starts trippin cause he sees a guy on tv with a shirt that says "best rapper alive" with a picture of weezy right under it.

The dicumentary was so interesting, in fact, I have a new found respect for weezy. So I decided to download all his albums and give every song 5 seconds of listening each, and compile what caught my interest.

Hence the Best Rapper Alive vs. the Best Boxer Alive.
