San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom recently unveiled the first of 1,100 solar powered bus shelters that will be installed throughout the city between now and 2013. Crowned with a rolling red crest of photovoltaic panels, the shelters will use the sun rays to power their intercom, LED lighting, and even wireless routers that will help blanket the city with WiFi ...continue reading

lets agree to disagree... everyone made bad choices. The outcome of it all just sucks =T

but imagine if you knew everyone involved. i mean that goes the same both ways. but YES you are definitely correct about the amout of force needed to be used. Again, terrible choices on everyones behalf.

yeah but imagine if that person was someone you personally know. some people just don't know how to react to cops. and the cop was obviously twice the size of the other man, he could've at least been aware the amount of force needed to be used

Okay, given that was a pretty bad. We don't really know the whole story. I don't think you have to call all cops "pigs" although, the newbies to tend to get a little overwhelmed in the beginning and make mistakes with their position, but that's human. As someone said below, "they're people too." Although it was used in context against them. Also, honestly though... the guy was running away. I don't agree with that. If you're innocent stand still. Otherwise, when a girl points someone out thinking it was you who raped her or did whatever, then yeah, adrenaline will rush within a cop who is to protect and serve and he'll go at you full force. That's just stupid on your end to run away. All in all, bad choices on everyones part.

i cant wait to see this movie. it looks way too good.

A White House official tells ABC News that President Obama was "furious" to hear about the incident this morning when Air Force One and Air Force fighter jets appeared to be flying into the Manhattan skyline, scaring many New Yorkers into thinking they were about to face another terrorist attack.

Many buildings in lower Manhattan evacuated. Angry New York politicians lashed out at whoever was responsible for the incident -- which turned out to have been for a photo op.

Isn't this crazy! I agree though with those who say that President Obama is obviously a micro-manager so for him to say he didn't know... well, that's hard to believe. Its the AIRFORCE ONE! Its possible that they are trying to redirect the public's attention (which would definitely not be the first time politics has played that game) but... at this point, it just makes everything so petty again. Don't we have more important things to do right now with the economy and helping our people than play these pranks? Goodness. I hope there's a really good explanation for this. But how could there be? Even if they did have one, it would then confirm that our government has no common sense.

this is great!!! hahaha!

Few things engender hypocrisy more broadly than U.S. policy on Cuba. It's embarrassingly inconsistent for Washington to maintain a trade embargo against Havana and to bar U.S. citizens from traveling to Cuba when the U.S. gleefully does business with regimes like China, whose human-rights violations are more egregious than Cuba's. At the same time, it's curious at best that embargo foes like California Representative Barbara Lee, who led a congressional delegation to Havana last week that met with President Raúl Castro and his brother Fidel, rarely mention Cuba's jailed dissidents but will, as Lee has, blast China for "repression against the Tibetan people." ....
